Wake Up SID

Yes, this movie is definitely refreshing as its far away from muscle show (WANTED) and logic less comedy (Do Knot Disturb) movies but it failed to reach the class of DCH
Ofcourse there is a lot leg show from choc boy Ranbir, for girls to be crazy
But one show that catches my attention for the moment is BOMBAY.

Yeah, it’s the most famous dream land, BOMBAY that’s gained sudden attention along with Ranbir, Aayan and KJo (Karan Johar)...
I still can’t believe the line KJo said on press, “It was a genuine mistake on our part...henceforth, we will use Mumbai instead of Bombay. We have apologised for the same”.
And there were many reactions from government and Raj himself that stand on different sides of this issue.
I wonder how so many people associated with this movie failed to catch the word BOMBAY in the simple script, that’s just 300 pages length.

Now that makes me say, is this something WANTED by KJo team to gain easy publicity for movie?
Personally I put all these behind as I enjoyed this movie and I believe this movie does not need any marketing gimmicks or pre-planned scandals / media attention like this.

Looking at the other part of this, I wonder if I failed to hear any news like Raj himself or anyone from any political party had staged a dharna or any agitation or even a press conference supporting the hunger strike by IIT IIM staff for increase in salaries.

Did I missed to read that news or had it not happened in my country?

I can’t never forget one thing about my country and always be proud to say about one person, its Aryabhatta (476-550 A.D) who had written "Aryabhatiya" - the mathematical part of the Aryabhatiya covers arithmetic, algebra, plane trigonometry and spherical trigonometry. But his greatest contribution has to be ZERO.

In short, we are a land that gave birth to root of Mathematics and nurtured the essence of Science.
And is it the same WE reading the news that professors from the so called temples of Indian Talent i.e. IIT and IIM are doing strike and raising their voice with a hunger strike to raise their monthly salaries.

I am totally heartbroken and shattered to see that my democratic government fails to listen their needs and demands.

Now I say Wake Up SID (Sleeping Indian Democracy)….

To be very honest, I do not know how much does a lecturer is paid monthly at IIT and IIM but what I can recollect is that there was some time in history when students came on roads fighting against the raise in fees at IIT and IIM studies.
Does it not reciprocate directly for improving the quality of studies and salaries?

I wonder where we are heading to …?
Besides the Moon and discovering water traces over there
It hurts me personally as I was professor myself after college, before I plunged into the cubicle IT world.

No wonder I get angry to read what Kapil Sibal said on news “We will be too happy to discuss anything....But if you look at my budget, it is insufficient to meet the needs of a knowledge society....We must understand each other, the constraints of the government.....We need to get together to work the system out...India has to work under some constraints and it cannot afford the same kind of freedom or salaries which other developed countries like the US can afford..."

Now I am tempted to say Wake Up SID (Silly Indian Democrats)…..

Is he ready for talks, then why he is not ready to listen and understand if the 1,500 staff from IIT & IIM demand salaries as equal to US or they are demanding pay-check that’s sufficient enough for their monthly expenses and children needs….

My request to HRD ministry - please open up your ears, listen to their problems and then if its truly impossible to achieve them as per your so called budget, then you are most welcome to comment on media whether if you raise the salaries or not….

What’s so hurry to make statements even before you sit on table to talk with them?
Grow up dear…Wake Up......
